Can we down load all the google photos on to a separate hard drive and most important can we do as we please with our photos, like transfer them to thumb drives or process them in Adobe Photo shop or Light room, at present I can do nothing other then have them printed at the local Walmart?

Thanks so much for this! I have three questions. First, is there a way to see how much data your photos and videos are taking up so you will know how much space you will take up on your computer after downloading it all. Second, is there a limit on Google that one might reach that won't allow additional photos to be stored? Third is about the scroll bar for Google Photos, I hate it. It is so difficult to use. I wish they would make an easier way to accurately see a bigger selection of the photos when you click on a spot and an easier way to then scroll up or down. It's just to jumpy and not smooth moving at all. Maybe I'm not using it correctly. Thanks again for this video it helped me a lot.

In downloading do you need to switch on wife and Bluetooth

I get photos that pop up on my phone it says 5 years ago today. Where do I find those pictures. It's not on my Google photos!! It's frustrating. They disappear if I don't save it

Not impressed! Google Taleout essentially loads JSON into zips for downloading and these are separate from the JPGS, so There is no way of tying the photos and the metadata together. Complete waste of time!
Anybody know how to retain the 'order' of the images once exported?
I’m currently moving all of my stuff from Android to Apple. If I download all of my photos from Google can I re upload them to my iPhone and have them sorted by date, location etc just like on Google?

Can I choose where I want my photos and videos to be stored, my Lexar USB flash drive is failing and I need to buy a new one, I was thinking a 256 GB one should be sufficient for all of my files, including my documents and ebooks and music as well as Google Photos
I use Google Photos to back up my home movies that I copied from my DVDs
