Chilli Chicken | Chilli Chicken Recipe | Restaurant Style Chilli Chicken Recipe | Chilli Chicken Recipe Chinese Style | Chilli Chicken Recipe Indo Chinese Style | How to make Chilli Chicken | Chilli Chicken Dry Recipe Ingredients for Chilli Chicken Recipe: For marination: - Boneless chicken (preferably thigh) cut into 1 inch cubes- 300 gms - Salt- 1/2 tsp - Crushed Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp - Cornflour- 2 tbsp - Maida or All purpose flour- 1 tbsp - Soy sauce- 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp - Egg - 1 - Onion petals- 1 small onion - Green capsicum cubed- 1 medium - Garlic, chopped- 4-5 cloves - Green chillies, thin slices- 2 nos - Spring onion, white portion chopped- 2 - Spring onions, green tops- chopped for garnishing - Red Chilli sauce- 2 tbsp - Tomato sauce- 2 tbsp - Soy sauce- 1 tbsp - Vinegar- 1 tsp - Cornflour slurry- 1 tbsp cornflour mixed in 2 tbsp of water - Oil- 2 tbsp - Salt for seasoning Preparation: - Wash and cut the boneless chicken into pieces. - Marinate with the items indicated. Mix well and set aside for 30 mins. - Chop the garlic and spring onions and slice the chillies. - Make petals of one small onion & cubes of one green capsicum - Deep fry the chicken pieces in a kadhai till golden in colour. Remove and set aside Process: - Take a small wok or kadhai & heat 2 tbsp oil. - Add the chopped garlic, stir for a few seconds and add the white chopped spring onions. - Stir it once & add the sliced green chillies. Mix everything well and then add the onion and capsicum petals. Sauté on medium heat for around 2 mins till they are still crisp. - Now add all the sauces as mix well. Stir fry for 1 min. - Add the fried chicken pieces and mix well so that the pieces are coated with the sauce. - Add the cornflour slurry and mix well again. So here's my recipe with all tips and tricks. * 🍽️𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭🥘𝗡 𝗦𝗛🍳𝗣 🍽️ RB Store - 🤍 Kitchen Appliances - 🤍 Knives I use - 🤍 * ⏩𝓢𝓾𝓫𝓼𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓫𝓮 𝓱𝓮𝓻𝓮: 🤍 * 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼: Chili Paneer - 🤍 Tangdi Kabab - 🤍 Melting Chicken Burger - 🤍 * For more fantastic recipes, check out the Ranveer Brar App 📲 📲𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐝 - 🤍 📲𝗶𝗢𝗦 - 🤍 * CHILI CHICKEN Preparation time 10 minutes Cooking time 20-25 minutes Serve 2 Ingredients For First Marination 450 gms Chicken breast, cut into strips, चिकन 1 tbsp Sesame oil, तिल का तेल Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार ½ tsp Black peppercorns, crushed, काली मिर्च का पाउडर ½ tsp White pepper powder, सफेद कालीमिर्च का पाउडर 1 tsp Red chili sauce, रेड चिली सॉस 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste, अदरक लहसुन का पेस्ट 1 Egg, अंडा For Second Marination 1 heaped tbsp Cornstarch, कॉर्न स्टार्च 2 tbsp Refined flour, मैदा 1 tsp Baking soda, बेकिंग सोडा 1 Egg, अंडा Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार 1 tsp Oil, तेल Oil for frying, तेल तलने के लिए For Sauce Mixture 1 tbsp dark Soy sauce, डार्क सोया सॉस ½ tbsp Tomato ketchup, टोमेटो केचप ½ tbsp Red chilli sauce, रेड चिली सॉस 1 tbsp Green chilli sauce, ग्रीन चिली सॉस ½ tsp Vinegar, सिरका 2-3 tbsp Water, पानी ½ tsp Sugar, चीनी ½ tsp Black pepper powder (optional) काली मिर्च का पाउडर For Tempering 1 tbsp Oil or sesame oil (optional), तेल 2 Dry red chillies, broken into half, सूखी लाल मिर्च ½ inch Ginger, chopped, अदरक 2-3 Garlic cloves, chopped, लहसुन 1 Green chili (less spicy, chopped) हरी मिर्च 1 fresh Red chilli, chopped, ताज़ी लाल मिर्च 1 large Onion, cut into strips, प्याज Prepared Sauce Mixture, सॉस का मिश्रण ½ tsp Sugar, चीनी Salt to taste, नमक स्वादअनुसार 1 tbsp Cornstarch Slurry, कॉर्न स्टार्च का लिजाम ½ Red bell pepper, cut into strips, लाल शिमला मिर्च 1 medium size Green bell pepper, cut into strips, हरी शिमला मिर्च Fried Chicken Strips, तले हुए चिकन स्ट्रिप्स 2 tbsp Spring onion, roughly chopped, प्याज़ पत्ता For Garnish Coriander sprig, धनिया पत्ता Process For First Marination Firstly cut the chicken into strips and keep it in a medium size bowl, add sesame oil. Add salt to taste, black peppercorns, white pepper powder, red chili sauce, ginger garlic paste. Add egg and mix everything well. Rest it for 10 minutes. For Second Marination In the same bowl, add cornstarch, refined flour, baking soda, egg, salt to taste, and oil. Mix everything well and keep it aside for further use. For Frying Heat oil in a kadai on medium flame. Now, fry the marinated chicken on a slow to medium flame till golden in color and cook well from inside. Remove in an absorbent paper and keep it aside for further use. For Sauce Mixture In a bowl, add dark soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, green chili sauce, and vinegar. Add water, sugar, black pepper powder and mix it well. Keep it aside for further use. For Tempering In a wok or kadai, add oil once it gets hot, add dry red chillies and let it splutter well. Add ginger, garlic, green chili, red chili and saute it well. Add onion and saute well. Add prepared sauce mixture, salt to taste and mix well. Add cornstarch slurry and mix well, add red bell pepper, green bell pepper mix well. Add fried chicken strips and toss it well. Add spring onion and toss well. Chilli Chicken Recipe: Chicken Boneless - 250 grams Batter: Corn Flour - 2 tbsp Maida - 2 tbsp Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp Salt - ¼ tsp Water - 3 tbsp Oil - To Deep fry Chilli Paste: Dried Red Chilli - 6 nos Water - 1 Cup Oil - 2 tsp Chilli Sauce: Oil - 1 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped) - 2 tsp Green Chilli (roughly chopped) - 1 no Onion (cubed) - 1 no Capsicum (cubed) - 1 no Chilli Sauce - 1 tbsp Tomato Sauce - 2 tbsp Soy Sauce - 2 tsp Vinegar - ½ tsp Salt - ½ tsp Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp Corn Flour - 2 tsp Water - ¼ Cup Spring Onion - 2 tbsp Cooking Instructions: 1. Bring 1 Cup of water to a boil. Add the red chillies and cook for 5 minutes. 2. Add the cooked red chillies to the mixer grinder and grind it into a smooth paste. 3. In a pan, heat 2 tsp of oil. Add the ground chilli paste. Cook this until the oil separates from the chilli paste. 4. In a mixing bowl, add cornflour, maida, salt, pepper and water. Mix to form a batter to deep-fry the chicken pieces. 5. Add chicken pieces to the batter. 6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and deep-fry the chicken pieces for around 3-4 mins or until it is cooked. Keep Aside. 7. In another pan, to make Chilli sauce, heat oil, add the chopped garlic and ginger. Saute this until the garlic turns golden brown. Add the chopped green chilli. 8. Add the cubed onions and cubed capsicum and continue to saute for a minute. 9. Add the chilli paste, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes. 10. Mix 2 tsp of cornflour in ¼ cup of water to form a slurry. 11. Add the cornflour slurry to the pan. 12. Mix well, once the sauce is in the desired consistency, add the batter-fried chicken cubes and toss for a minute. 13. Add the chopped spring onions and remove from heat. 14. Full written recipe for Restaurant style chicken chilli Prep time:15-20 minutes Cooking times: 15-20 minutes Serves: 4-5 people Ingredients: For frying chicken: • Boneless Chicken 500 gm (breast) • Salt & black pepper to taste • Vinegar 1 tsp • Light soy sauce 1 tsp • Egg white of 1 egg • Cornstarch 3 tbsp • Oil for frying For green chilli paste: • Spicy Green chillies 8-10 nos. • Water 50 ml For sauce: • Oil 2 tbsp • Onions 1/4th cup (chopped) • Garlic 1/4th cup (chopped) • Ginger 1 inch (chopped) • Spicy Green chillies 12-15 nos. (slit) • Coriander stems 1 tbsp (chopped) • Chicken stock/hot water 200 ml + 100 ml • Spicy Green chilli paste 2-3 tbsp • Light soy sauce 2 tbsp • Dark soy sauce 2 tsp (for colour) • Vinegar 1 tsp • Sugar a pinch • Salt & white pepper powder a pinch • Fried chicken • Veggies: 1. Capsicum 1 medium size (julienned) 2. Onions 1 medium size (petals) 3. Spring onion bulbs & greens 2 tbsp 4. Fresh coriander roughly chopped 1 tbsp • Cornstarch 1 tbsp + water 2 tbsp (for slurry) • Spring onion greens & bulbs (for garnish) • Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish) Method: • For frying chicken, clean the boneless chicken well, and further cut into strips or cubes as per your preference, I’m choosing to cut in 1 cm strips. • Now, add salt & black pepper to taste, vinegar, light soy sauce, egg white & cornstarch, mix well & coat the chicken with the marinade. Make sure the coating should not be very thick. After mixing you’ll feel the chicken hasn’t coated nicely but relax the chicken will fry perfectly. • Set oil in wok for frying, fry the marinated & coated chicken in hot oil on medium heat, until the chicken is cooked, tender & slightly golden in colour. Remove it over an absorbent paper and keep aside to be used later. Make sure not to over fry them like a chicken pakoda. • For green chilli paste, add the green chillies in a grinding jar, add water & blend into a fine paste, keep aside to be used later. • For making the chilli sauce, set a wok on high heat, add oil and let it heat nicely, further add onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies & coriander stems, stir & cook for 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is slightly cooked. • Now add the chicken stock and cook for a minute on high flame. • Further add green chilli paste, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, vinegar 1 tsp, a pinch of sugar & salt & white pepper powder to taste, stir on high flame for a minute. You can adjust the quantity of green chilli paste as per your preference. • Now add the fried chicken & the veggies, stir briefly & cook on high flame for half a minute. • Further add additional 100 ml of chicken stock, in a separate bowl add cornflour & water, mix well to make a slurry, add the slurry & stir well & cook for a minute or until the sauce thickens and coat the chicken. • Taste the sauce and adjust the salt as per taste. Finish by adding some freshly chopped spring onion bulbs & greens & some fresh coriander. • Restaurant style chilli chicken is ready, serve hot. Restaurant Style Chilli Chicken Gravy | Chilli Chicken | Chilli Chicken Recipe | Chilli Chicken Recipe Indo Chinese Style | How to make Chilli Chicken | Chilli Chicken by Spice Eats Ingredients for Chilli Chicken Gravy: Boneless Chicken - 300 gms (Thigh portion, cut into bite sized pieces) For Marination: - Salt- 1/2 tsp - Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp - Dark Soy Sauce- 1/2 tsp - Ginger Garlic Paste- 3/4 tsp - Corn Flour- 2 tbsp - All Purpose Flour (Maida)- 1 tbsp - Egg, small- 1 Sauce: - Red Chilli Sauce- 2 tbsp - Tomato Sauce- 2.5 tbsp - Dark Soy Sauce- 1 tbsp - Vinegar- 1 tsp Other Ingredients: - Garlic, chopped- 1.5 tsp (5-6 cloves) - Ginger, chopped- 1.5 tsp - Green Chillies, thin sliced- 2-3 - Onion, thick sliced- 1 small (60 gms) - Green Capsicum (Bell Pepper), thick sliced- 1 small (60 gms) - Spring Onion Greens - 3 tbsp - Corn Slurry- 1.25 tbsp cornflour mixed in 1 cup (225 ml) of water - Refined Oil- 1.5 tbsp + oil for deep frying Preparation: - Wash, pat dry and cut the boneless chicken thighs into 1 inch bite sized pieces. - Marinate with the items indicated. Mix well to coat the chicken. Set aside for 30 mins. - Chop the garlic, ginger and spring onion greens and slice the green chillies. - Make thick slices of onion and capsicum (green bell pepper). - To prepare the Corn slurry, add 1 cup of water to 1.25 tbsps of corn starch. Mix well and set aside. Process: - Heat oil in a pan or skillet for deep frying. Drop the battered chicken pieces side by side in hot oil to not overcrowd the pan. - Fry these in hot oil on medium heat till light brown. This should take around 4-5 mins. Repeat for the next batch. - Now heat oil and add the chopped garlic. Give a stir and add the chopped ginger. Fry on high heat for 15 secs and then add the sliced green chillies. Fry on high heat for another 30 secs. Once you start making it, you won't be able to stop :D I hope you enjoy this video :) Let's be friends :D Follow me on Instagram 🤍 Join my Facebook Public Page 🤍 RECIPE INGREDIENTS To prepare the chicken 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces 1/2 tbsp, grated fresh Ginger 1/2 tbsp, grated fresh Garlic 1 tsp, Black Pepper 1 tsp, Salt 1 tbsp, Soy Sauce 1 tbsp, Chinese Cooking Wine 4 tbsp, Corn Starch Canola/Vegetable Oil for deep frying For the sauce 2 tbsp Water 1 tbsp, Corn Starch 1/2 cup, Chicken Broth 3 tbsp, Dark Soy Sauce 1 tbsp, Rice Wine Vinegar 1/2 tbsp, White Sugar Salt to taste For the vegetables 2 tbsp, Canola/Vegetable Oil 1 medium Onion, sliced 1 tbsp, finely chopped Garlic 1/2 tbsp, grated fresh Ginger 4 Green Chillis, sliced Sliced green onions to garnish METHOD Pour oil into a deep pan, and preheat to 350 degrees. In a bowl mix together all ingredients for chicken. When oil is ready, add chicken one chunk at a time ensuring not to crowd the oil. Cook in batches for 4-5/minutes per batch or until chicken is crispy and cooked through the centre. Drain on paper towel and set aside. In a bowl, whisk together water and corn starch. Once dissolved, slowly whisk in chicken broth, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and salt to taste. Set aside. In a large frying pan heat oil on medium high heat. Add garlic, ginger, and chillis, and saute for an additional 15-20 seconds or until all ingredients are fragrant. Then add onion and sauté for 45-60 seconds or until just glossy, but still crisp. Remove from pan and set aside. Whisk sauce ingredients once more to ensure the corn starch hasn't settled at the bottom, and pour into pan. Allow to come to a full simmer, stirring consistently until thickened and glossy. Add fried onions and chicken and toss to coat. Garnish with sliced fresh green chillis, and serve alongside hot rice. Written recipe for Chicken chilli Prep time: 15 mins Cooking time: 25 mins Serves: 6 For frying chicken Ingredients: • Chicken 500 gm (boneless) • Salt & pepper to taste • Vinegar 1 tsp • Soy sauce 1 tsp • Egg white 1 no. • Cornstarch 3 tbsp • Oil for shallow frying Method: • Slice the chicken breast in two equal halves and Further cut the chicken slices into thin strips (please refer video to get clear picture). • Transfer the chicken strips in a mixing bowl and further add, salt & pepper to taste, vinegar, soy sauce, egg white and cornstarch, mix and coat the chicken well. • Heat oil in a pan for frying and shallow fry the coated chicken strips on both the sides only till the chicken softens or are light golden in color, do not overcook them. Remove it on an absorbent paper and keep aside. For making chicken chilli Ingredients: • Oil 2 tbsp • Garlic 15 cloves (chopped) • Ginger 1 inch (julienned) • Green chillies 6-7 nos. (slit) • Onions 2 medium size (diced) • Red bell peppers 1 medium size (diced) • Capsicum 1 medium size (diced) • Sugar 1 tsp • Spring onion bulbs 1/4th cup (chopped) • Soy sauce 3 tbsp • Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp • Salt & pepper to taste • Water 100 ml • Cornstarch 1 tbsp + water 2 tbsp • Freshly Fried chicken • Vinegar 1 tsp • Spring onion greens 2 tbsp (chopped) Methods: • Set another pan on high heat, add oil, garlic, ginger and green chillies, sauté it for a minute. • Add onions, red bell peppers, capsicum and sugar, mix well and sauté it for a minute. • Add spring onions and continue to sauté on high flame. • Add soy sauce, red chilli sauce, salt & pepper to taste and water, mix well & cook for a minute. • Add water and cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens. Also cut the green chillies into two. - To make the paste, add all these items to a grinder and grind into a paste. - Whisk the yogurt and set it aside. - Marinate the chicken pieces with the green paste, turmeric, whisked curd/yogurt and salt. - Set aside for 30 mins. Process: - Heat oil in a pan or kadhai and then add the green chillies. Give a stir and lower the heat. Add the spice powders other than Garam Masala powder and give a mix for 15 secs. - Add the marinated chicken, give a mix and fry on high heat for around 5 mins till chicken turns white and oil starts to leave the sides. - Now cover & cook on low heat for around 20 mins till the masala is cooked, chicken is tender and oil separates.
