ANYONE CAN DO THIS. I will explain what is flashing and what is tuning. What equipment is required? Is it safe? In this video we are focusing on the basics, how to get started, how to do EWS delete, how to do O2 post-cat sensor delete. Siemens MS43 is a very common ECU (Engine Control Unit) in BMW E46, E39 and E53. The engine types are M54B22, M54B25 and M54B30. It is also popular in swap projects as there is nowadays lot of information available and it's fairly easy to flash. It is also very suitable for budget turbo projects. You can do plenty of things while tuning it, e.g so called "ghost cam tune" or "fake cam tune" where double vanos system will make your idle rough. Modifying the ecu code to send variable measurements over the can bus. Switching between oil temp and exhaust gas temp in this case.
Short demonstration video showing the tool working with a BMW DME MS43 engine control unit. The tool is able to read and write the full contents of the control unit. Works both on the BENCH (like is shown on video) without the need to open or dismantle the control unit or on the vehicle directly via the OBD diagnostic socket.
