Sulamith Wülfing, the great visionary painter and illustrator from Wuppertal, would celebrate her 120th birthday this year. On the occasion of this event, the Nautilus-Studio, a gallery for visionary and surreal art, in the beautiful old 'Luisenviertel', celebrates and honors her fabulous work with a special exibition titled 'Sulamith Wülfing-the forgotten daughter of the town.‘ The Nautilus studio has been a workspace and gallery in Seattle for 5 years and is now being continued in Wuppertal for nearly two years, managed by the artist Yvette Endrijautzki. 🤍nautilusstudio.net Thru Yvettes curatorial work in the USA and a great international artist network, it immediately succeeded to staff the Nautilus exhibitions in Wuppertal with international contemporary visionary artists. These artists of the 'Nautilus Network' will be involved to shape the Wülfing exhibition with their `Wülfing’- themed artwork specially created for this show. The results will be recorded in an exhibition book with photos and texts in both languages: German and English. A specially created limited poster print edition by the artist Kaska Niemiro (also responsible for the Sulamith book cover design) will be available for the exhibition. Participating artists are: Otto Rapp from Vienna, Feeroozeh Golmohammadi (Teheran) Pascal Ferry (France) Liba Waring Stambollion from Paris, Martina Hoffmann (Germany/USA), Stefan Bleyl from Dresden, Germany Alexandra Keller (Solingen) Willi Büsing from Troisdorf/Berlin, Janine Werner from Solingen Poul Dohle from Münster Ingo Schleutermann (Solingen) Julie Baroh (Seattle) Jennifer Jennsel from Mexiko/heute Berlin. Madeline von Foerster (Cologne/Usa) Sabine Friedewald (Wuppertal) Doris Faassen (Wuppertal) Michael Hutter (Cologne) Norbert Gladis (Weimar) Elijah Evenson (Seattle) Wheeshan Ong (Austria) Peter Amann (Solingen) Gromyko Semper (Phillipines) Kaska Niemiro (Berlin) Music by Martin Erbler and a few more Sulamith Wülfing herself forms the center of the exhibition. All participating artists produce works with Sulamith Wülfing as the theme, either with a view to the person by portraying her, or to the specific style or special techniques of Wülfing. Since there are only very few photos of Sulamith Wülfing circulating in the public, some of the participating artists will enrich us with portraits that bring the forgotten daughter of the town back to the present. A few original artworks by Sulamith Wülfing are made available for the exhibition by a few local art collectors. In addition to this work, the company EXCIT3D, specializing in 3D printing, augmented and virtual reality, will virtually revive the historical figure. Sulamith Wülfing today has gained much more attention in the US, Russia or France than in her hometown, especially in the music scene. Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac even named a tour, the 2005 Gold Dust Tour after Wülfing and her music was highly inspired by Wülfing. Pete Sinfield from King Crimson also designed a record cover with one of Sulamith's works. A short documentary is also in the making and will be screened at the event. The venue is not yet clear, but as soon as there is something tangible, it will be announced. If, for the known reasons, the event cannot take place in the 'normal' sense, there will definitely be an online version! But let's hope for the BEST! THE BOAR BOYS ARE IN TOWN (irish traditional) Diesen fast vergessenen irischen Folksong hörte Sebastian Barwinek, ein befreundeter Musiker, zum ersten Mal in einem kleinen irischen Ort namens Borraun im Westen des County Mayos. Dort kehrte er, nachdem er den ganzen Tag über gewandet war, in ein Pub namens Torc Buichallin ein, über dessen Eingang ein stilisierter Eberkopf prangte. Im Inneren des von Torfrauch verhangenen Schankraums gab ein ein alter Harfner namens Brian O'Dall alte irische Lieder zum besten. Von meinem Kollegen um etwas Lokales gebeten, gab der Mann dieses Lied zum Besten, das seinen Worten zufolge die englische Übersetzung eines wesentlich älteren gälischen Liedes war. Als Sebastian mir dieses Lied, dessen Text und Melodie gleich im Kopf geblieben waren, mir vor zwei Jahren zum ersten Mal vorspielte, war es für mich wie eine Offenbarung. Eine Inspiration par Excellence. Seitdem habe ich im Bezug auf die legendäre Räuberbande recherchiert, was in der Geschichte DIE BOAR BOYS gipfelte, die ich schließlich von famosen Künstlern illustriert und grandiosen Sprechern vertont in einem Crowdfundingprojekt zu realisieren vermochte. Im Zuge dieses Projektes habe ich Sebastian auch dazu bringen können, den Song in obenstehender Form noch einmal einzuspielen. Das im Video verwendete Bild hat der begnadete Koboldkenner und Ausnahmekünstler POUL DOHLE beigesteuert. DANKE. An alle, die mich auf diesem Abenteuer begleitet haben. The Jackdaw (Corvus monedula) is a singing bird from the family of corvids (Corvidae). Among the crows and ravens (Corvus), it is one of the smallest members. i've kept this loveli jackdaw that had fallen from its nest . after a while she decided to change home and she's moved to te neighbour's villa. XD I've left the house and the country...but se's still there ..free to join oter groups ..but she always comes back. In the video I ask her to show up to people that are watching and she starts a conversation with me right away! I will come back to say good bye one last time, miss her
My older brother found 'Jack' as a baby bird that had been rejected from the nest for being white. He raised 'Jack' for about 4 months until Jack flew away with a normal Jackdaw. Jack was very tame and loved humans.

Jean de la Fontaine war ein französischer Schriftsteller, der heute vor allem durch seine Tierfabeln bekannt ist. Als Vertreter der Moralistik hat er durch diese versucht, Gesellschaftskritik auszuüben. Charakteristisch für seine Fabeln ist vor allem, dass sie nun meist nicht mehr explizite, sondern indirekte Lebensratschläge geben, sodass der Leser selbst lernen muss, zu urteilen und über die Aussageabsicht der Fabel nachzudenken. Das "Schatzkästlein des rheinischen Hausfreundes" ist eine Sammlung von Erzählungen und Kalendergeschichten, die Johann Peter Hebel zusammengestellt und 1811 in Tübingen bei Cotta veröffentlichte. Die Sammlung umfasst Anekdoten, Kurzgeschichten und Schwänke, die Hebel bereits zwischen 1803 und 1806 im Badischen Landkalender und von 1807 bis 1811 in dessen Nachfolger, dem Rheinländischen Hausfreund, veröffentlicht hatte.
