How to make high end audio speakers for woodworkers. This project uses the Criton 2TD kit from CSS Audio and makes speaker building a breeze with their custom crossover boards. I knew nothing about speaker wiring and had very little experience with soldering before making these hifi speakers and it turns out it wasn't difficult at all. The crossover boards are designed to make wiring easy for someone like me who doesn't have the knowledge. This is my review of the Audio Physic Spark stand mount HiFi speakers that I think offer a reference quality of sound within the remit of their design. They are a three way speaker with the mid and bass drivers being based on PowerTrain technology, which means they are spider-less for lower distortion and a cleaner purer sound. I think this is very impressive and its trickle down technology from the much more expensive Cardeas speakers. The Amiga has a detailed yet relaxed sound with surprising low frequency extension Remarkably flat response, ±2.5 dB from 35-20,000 Hz The tonal balance of the Amigas is similar with slightly relaxed voicing to allow for long listening sessions without fatigue. However, the quality of the drivers will definitely highlight finer details in any recording. The bass extension should definitely surprise; with an F3 of 34 Hz, there is a good chance you can leave the subwoofer turned off for most purposes. The overall sound is big, it is a 2-way that produces like a 3-way. This kit is ideal for any novice woodworker.
