Fort Wilderness Campground! We recently visited Walt Disney World in the Orlando Florida area. While there, we checked out Disney Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort over several days. ⬇️⬇️Click Show More⬇️⬇️ This place is MASSIVE as far as campgrounds go - over 750 acres for camping! In this video we share with you our experience and review at Fort Wilderness Resort (which was over the holidays - so it was pretty cool) and a complete tour of the campground! In today’s vlog we head to Disney’s Fort Wilderness to check in for our RV camping vacation! We give you a tour of our RV, set up our camp site and get dinner from P&J’s! Concerned, I quickly looked in my driver side mirror and saw large plastic pieces bouncing down the freeway and immediately assumed the generator exhaust pipe was ripped off and possibly took the plumbing with it... but that was not the case. We pulled over to investigate and found nothing. A few more miles down the road we begin to hear a thumping sound coming from the floorboard of the F450, which remains a mystery until several episodes from now! I won't spoil the surprise. Backing into our site at Disney's Fort Wilderness was tight, but it went well. The turning radius of the Ford F450 and Grand Design 5th wheel toy hauler continues to deliver. This is a full resort tour of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This is both a walking and golf cart tour, due to the size of the resort. Fort Wilderness is the largest resort at Walt Disney World, with campsites that are in the Value price range, and cabins that are in the Moderate price range. It is located near Magic Kingdom, and has access to the boat transportation to Magic Kingdom via Bay Lake. We love camping at Fort Wilderness - whether in an RV or in one of the Cabins. In today's video I head over to Disney's Fort Wilderness to meet up with a friend to check out his campsite and also gain some knowledge because this is something I want to do one day which would be to camp at Walt Disney World. I show you everything you need to know about camping here from the campsite, pricing, golf cart rentals, showers, laundry, all the pools, stores, places to eat, and all of the super fun activities you can do. After the tour of the campsites it started to rain, so we hopped on the golf cart and drove around the property to see everything. Next we make a stop at Pioneer Hall for dinner because the day I was here they were offering different food trucks which was such a nice touch. I also talk about the reopening of Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue on June 23rd, 2022. After that I make a stop at the new Tri Circle D Ranch and I talk a little about the construction of Reflections the new DVC resort. Finally we find some chairs beachside to watch Disney Enchantment from Fort Wilderness. At just 0.8 miles from the main entrance to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, we walked to and from the Disney parks several times. There were a couple mornings that we wanted to get to the park early so we took an Uber which was only around $10, then walked back which took around 20 minutes each time. You end up saving so much time and money not having to park at Disney and either walk or take the monorail in. There are many places from which you can rent a camper to stay at Fort Wilderness Campground if you don't own a camper yourself. They'll bring them to you, set it up, and take it all down when you're done. Our camper slept up to 6 adults and had 1 1/2 bathrooms. There was a full kitchen, fireplace, outdoor canopy, and so much more. It was perfect for what we needed, and we had a great time staying here. Of course, this is not what every camper looks like, but you can get an idea of what the camp sites look like and what to generally expect in a camper. We highly recommend getting a golf cart if you are staying at Fort Wilderness as everything is so spread out, and it saves a lot of time. You can rent a golf cart from Disney or from other companies. Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground in Orlando FL is a wonderful camping option and is on site at the Disney Resort, but is very expensive. We have researched what we think are the four BEST CAMPGROUNDS that will save you a lot of money when visiting Disney or surrounding theme parks. There are several more state and county parks within 45 minutes of Disney, in addition to what is mentioned here. In this video we discuss four camping options (besides Fort Wilderness) that are within 30 minutes of Disney World and under $25 nightly. All campgrounds seen on this video have water and electric hook-ups and some have sewer hook-ups. Lake Louisa State Park is our favorite, followed by Magnolia Park and then Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. While we loved Moss Park, Florida is a rainy place and without paved or gravel sites, it tends to get a bit messy. We consider Moss Park "REAL FLORIDA" and think a lot would enjoy this area. We would certainly choose Moss Park over Fort Wilderness, due to the price. We enjoyed staying at Fort Wilderness but found there to be a lot more inconveniences than was warranted by the high cost. While some have told us they can get to the park within 15 minutes, we find it nearly impossible and the nice folks at Fort Wilderness advise you that it could take up to an hour. The typical amount of time it took us to leave the campsite to get to a park was a quick as 30 minutes and as long as 45 minutes. This was out of the "busy season" as it was the end of September.
