In this video I use the Veritas Sharpening System to completely restore an old chisel and block plain with just sandpaper. I used 4 different grits of sandpaper (150, 220, 1000, and 2000) and used spray adhesive to stick them to a marble tile. The results were INCREDIBLE! There are super expensive sharpening stones out there but for my purposes, this works great. I used to be embarrassed by my chisels and block plane but I will no longer live with those insecurities thanks to this sharpening method. Learn how to repair a deep scratch in the paint of your car. In this case someone keyed my car so I will show you how to remove a deep scratch from that using a touch up paint pen. Fixing scratches in your car's paint is simple and if they are just clear coat scratches it is even easier. To remove deep scratches you need to clean the scratch, sand the scratch, use touchup paint on the scratch, sand that paint smooth with the factory paint job, add clear coat, and wet sand that smooth with the factory paint. Then you can polish the whole panel and you are done! I decided to try festool out for the first time and I understand the hype, its pretty good. The problem is I have a mountain of sanding discs with the wrong hole pattern So I want to make something that can correct that. I measure the hole spacing on the sander, and draw a little fixture that will hold the sandpaper and guide a punch to cut the holes. I took my time at the cnc to dial in the dimensions so that the parts fit without binding, and the punch would be tighter on the upper guide holes and have a slight relief in the lower holes. There was only one hanging chad on this one but with a few upgrades this thing could be even better.

This is the step by step guide for removing orange peel from your car's paint with my special guest, Jason Rose from Rupes USA. First we use a 1500 grit film disc and then 2000 grit foam backed disc. Afterwards we polished the paint with DA wool and DA Course compound from Rupes, then final polish with Rupes Uno Pure. For protection, we applied AMMO Reflex Pro before driving it back up to Rhode Island to the Audrain Auto Museum. (This method is only for smartphones, do not try it on tv screen or monitors) This is an experimental video, in this video, I have used 3M 1500 grit sandpaper and cerium oxide for removal of the scratches. I have removed scratches from my old Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro (gorilla glass 3) which was scratched badly almost there was a layer formed by the scratches which cause visibility issue and ghost touch issue sometimes. So, I first removed that scratched layer with 3M 1500 grit sandpaper and then polished with cerium oxide to remove minor scratches, you can also use 3M 2000 grit sandpaper depending on-screen damage. In this video I am trying to polish out sandpaper marks with a 21mm DA polisher. Something that alot of people struggle to do even with a rotary machine. This can be beneficial because if you have paintwork that is heavily swirled or scratched then you know that it can be corrected with a DA machine. All products available here.
