Yes it's that time of the year again; the Xiaomi Mi band 5 is out! But is it really a big improvement over the Mi Band 4? Let's find out! Find the Mi Band 5 on : AliExpress: 🤍 BangGood: 🤍 Gearbest: 🤍 Xiaomi's Mi Band 5 is the latest version of their fitness tracker wristbands. It has kept pretty much the exact same size, looks and functionality as on the Mi Band 4. It's got a full-color AMOLED touch display and a single touch input button below the screen. The screen size is a bit bigger on the Mi Band 5. -Being 1.1" it does have a slightly higher resolution of 126 x 294 px and at 450 NIT it's also noticeably brighter. The core features like the battery, RAM, and ROM size have not changed on this model, although the accelerometer and heart rate tracker both have seen a significant improvement. In terms of functionality, it is still pretty much the same as you would have with the Mi Band 4. You can swipe horizontally on the watch face to access the shortcuts to apps you use the most. You can set up which APPS you want to be displayed here from the Mi Fit APP. When swiping up and down from the watch face you can access all the APPS on the Mi band 5. -It's still the same old that you might be familiar with, but there are a few new ones. It now has a stress level monitor, improved sleep tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, PAI, a remote camera shutter control, and a whole bunch of new fitness tracker modes. Most notably is the new magnetic charger. This means you no longer have to take the Mi Band out of the strap to charge it as you can simply attach it to the band which is a very welcome improvement. So in broad strokes; the Mi Band 5 is basically the Mi Band 4S. Sure, it's got some good upgrades, but most of these could have really just been OTA firmware upgrades on the Mi Band 4 as the majority of the changes are really software related... The most notable changes on the Mi Band 5 are the slightly bigger, and brighter screen, the improved heart rate sensor -and accelerometer, and the new magnetic charger (which also has a longer cord). So is it worth getting the Mi Band 5 over the Mi Band 4? Well, that really depends on two things. 1. How much you are willing to spend? 2. How important these newer features are for you? Even though it does not have the MAJOR upgrades you might have wanted to see, I do think that the more accurate tracking and the new charger could be reason enough for you to pick up the Mi Band 5. И сразу два момента – амазфит делает для сяоми ми бэнд 5, а теперь решил сделать свой браслет. Логично, что себе они сделают не хуже? Додумали многое – даже датчик нахождения браслета на руке появился, пульс у воздуха не считают – и это хорошо. А супер отлично – что браслет мне прислал производитель, и это хорошо. А сейчас основное про новый фитнес браслет Amazfit Band 5. По упаковке. Белая против чёрной у сяомитов. Чтобы вскрыть нужно стать ненадолго вандалом – оторвали полоску – получили браслет. Внутри инструкция, браслет и магнитный кабель зарядки. Всё как у пятого. Зарядные кабеля полностью одинаковы с ми бэнд 5. Можно заряжать одним и тем же кабелем. У амазфита слегка мягче ремешок, и он на пол грамма больше весит. Плюс для людей с широким запястьем – ремешок у них на 16 мм длиннее, чем у ми бэндов. Амазфит не измеряет пульс у воздуха, в отличии от пятого ми бэнда. У амазфита сразу есть поддержка русского, без танцев с бубном как у китайской версии ми бэндов. Экран идентичен в обеих моделях AMOLED Размер: 1,1" Разрешение: 294х126, управление тачскрина понимает свайпы в четырёх направлениях. По отклику примерно одинаковые. Очень похожие иконки. И немного разные формы сенсорной кнопки. Да у Mi Band 5 корпус более округлой формы, а у Amazfit Band 5 он чуть слегка угловатый. Капсулы идентичны. Магнитятся друг к другу местом для зарядки. А вот датчики пульсометра расположены по-разному. Забавно наблюдать, когда они лежат рядом, и как ми бэнд 5 пытается считать пульс, а амазфит лежит спокойно. Кто там в инете говорил, что это нормально? Но к слову – ми бэнд 5 иногда определяет, что пульс считать он не может. Хотя не всегда. Программа с которой работает как ми бэнд 5 так и амазфит – это zepp. Тоже детище Амазфит. У амазфита появился датчик кислорода. Кому нужен – тот оценит. Но следить можно только в режиме мануал, автоматическое отслеживание кислорода не поддерживается. Но в тоже время, как и в ми бэнд 5 амазфит перманентно отслеживает пульс. Конечно оба могут управлять проигрыванием плеера на телефоне. Оба оценивают ваш общий индекс активности PAI – умеют показывать погоду. Отлеживают стресс. Помогают успокоиться дыханием. И тот, и другой может отслеживать просто тучу активностей, в том числе плаванье. И у обоих нет GPS. Но у амазфит лучше аналитика сна. Дневной сон они засчитывают, если он длился дольше 20 минут. Ми бэнд этого не умеет. В стоке – ни амазфит, ни ми бэнд 5 умного будильника не имеют. Будильник с браслетов не выставить, только из программы. По мне одинаковое вибро. Оба не боятся воды. На обоих входящий вызов можно отклонять или отменять звук. И смайлы они со стоковой прошивкой не выводят. Плюс у амазфита есть микрофон и поддержка Alexa, может и Алиса появится. 🤍

This is the 11.11 Event: 🤍 *My opinions in this video are my own, I am not being paid by Banggood to provide positive reviews, they have just sent out samples for me to review which is what I like to do :) The second product for the event is the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Smartwatch...fitness band...fitness tracker...its a watch that does more than show the time thus it's a smartwatch in my eyes :/ Third Xiaomi product on the channel, which is awesome. It's good to be reviewing reputable brands every now and again! I've owned a few smart watches over the years, all Android Wear ones, and the battery needs to be charged each night, they are heavy and all that. So I just stuck to a regular watch. But when I was offered this, I thought, surely I won't be a fan of this and...I am. It's not bad for the price at all! *If you are in Australia and don't want to wait for shipping, eBay has them for the same price and if you don't want to wait for shipping AT ALL, K-Mart has them for like $79 AUD :) But this watch/fitness thingo has a bunch of features that are really handy to have in this nice small and light watch and it's Xiaomi, so I don't think it's going to be any issues. I might come back to this after a few months to let you all know how it's doing! I think it will be great! And I am sorry I didn't go super in-depth with this and this wasn't so professional. I wanted to go into this with little research and have it like I just bought it, like a standard consumer and not a reviewer. So me playing around with this video is me genuinely interested in what it can do! But I hope this is ok for everyone.
